My mother, Marcia Wyatt Hayter, was originally from Poole in Dorset, England.  They emigrated to Canada in 1910 and gradually moved across country, from Halifax, through Ontario to Saskatchewan.  They settled on a homestead with the Fraser brothers before going to Semans, Saskatchewan.  John Hockley was a member of the Anglican Church in Semans.  They separated in 1920 just prior to my birth in 1921.  My father worked for a Mr. Wheatley in Semans for many years.  I checked once in Regina at the Bureau of Statistics in 1988 and was advised that several Jack Hockleys had passed away, and one who may have been my father had been in a seniors home in Strasburg, Saskatchewan, before his passing.  I was however unable to confirm that at the time.
