Deed to Silas Smith

Jackson County State of Alabama. This indenture made and entered into January 14, 1881 by and between Jas A. Morgan and Ann Morgan his wife of the first part and Silas Smith of the second part, all of the County of Jackson and State of Alabama for and in consideration of the sum of 18.50, eighteen dollars and fifty cents paid in the hands of Jas A. Morgan of the first part by Silas Smith of the second part do bargain sell and deliver to Silas Smith a lot of land known as the second lot in plot of land laid off for a village, bounded north by the lands of Frank Raines, east by Wilson Davis south by church lot west by Jas Morgan in Section (1) T (6) R (5) and a part of the SE 1/4 of NW 1/4 to have and to hold and we of the first part do pledge and bind ourselves to defend the right and title forever against all claims that may come against it whereunto we do annex our names and set our seal Jan 18th 1881.
