NOTE:  If William's first son was Samuel, it can probably be assumed that William's father was named Samuel.  A tradition in the Watson family for generations was that the son always named the firstborn son after his father.  William's first son was named Samuel.  Name was spelled Wattson in William's will-could have been misspelled by the person writing the will for William.  Because of the X mark we know he could not write.

WILLIAM² WATTSON  (SAMUEL¹ WATSON-assumption)  was born Abt. 1710 in County Tyrone, Ireland, and died Abt. 1772 in Hanover Township, Lancaster Co., PA.  He married SARAH.  She was born Abt. 1710, and died Bef. 1800 in Hanover Township, Lancaster Co., PA.
