Blankenship Rites June 15, 1964 SAVANNAH, Tenn. -- Mrs. Bertie Orr Blankenship, 69, wife of
L. A. (Abe) Blankenship of the Hookers Bend Community, died Monday evening in
the Hardin County General Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Shackelford Chapel
with the Rev. W. P. Littlefield officiating. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Mrs. Blankenship was born and reared in the Hookers Bend
Community. She was a member of the
Oakland Methodist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons, Harry
Blankenship of Hookers Bend, Lloyd Blankenship of Cobbler, Mo., Tom Blankenship
of Flint, Mich., Corney Blankenship of Morris Chapel; three daughters, Mrs. Louise Wimberley of Hookers Bend, Mrs.
Abbie B. Austin of Scotts Hill, Mrs. Mattie B. Hughes of Memphis; one sister
Mrs. Myrtle Plunk of Sweeney, Tex., one brother, Alfred Orr of Sweeney, Tex.;
2i6 grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
