Obituary of John Lane

John Lane

    Mr. John Lane was born October 15, 1864, departed this life June 29, 1936, age 71 years 8 mo. and 14 days.  He was married to Miss Annie Outlaw Jan. 20, 1886.  To this union were born ten children, 7 girls and 3 boys.  He is survived by his wife, 10 children, 5 sisters, 1 brother, 28 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.  Uncle John leaves the following statement:  "All is well with my soul, and I am just awaiting the call to my final home."

    Uncle John was a good neighbor, and a friend to anyone in need.  As we mourn our loss in this earthly home, we have hope that his soul is safe in the arms of the loving Savior and will greet us as we too will gather home.

    Funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. T. Bradfield Tuesday at Liberty, Hardin County, Tennessee.
