Sharon Akin Sharon Ann Akin, 58, of Bath Springs,Tennessee, formerly of Savannah, died Friday December 9, at Decatur County General Hospital in Parsons. She was born in Memphis, daughter of Melba Bingham Campbell and the late Sloan Campbell. She was united in marriage to Thomas Akin, who survives. Mrs. Akin worked as a customer service representative and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. Services were held Sunday, December 11,in the Shackelford Chapel with Rob Burns officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery. In addition to her husband, Tommy of Bath Springs, she is survived by three daughters, Cindy Akin of Saltillo, Angela Tucker of New Ross, Indianna, and Amanda Thornton of Franklin, Tenn.; her mother, Melba Campbell of Saltillo; and six grandchildren.
