Thompsie Fesmire Services for Thompsie A. Fesmire, 73, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Griffin Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Smothers officiating. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery. Mr. Fesmire, a retired electrician, died Tuesday afternoon at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Henderson County, moved to Jackson as a child, and was first married to the former Edna Davis, who preceded him in death in 1938. He was a deacon at Parkview Baptist Church. Mr. Fesmire was employed 35 years by Curtis McMillan Electrical Co. and was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lois Fesmire; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Frances Weber of Jackson; two sons, James D. Fesmire of Jackson and Walter Fesmire of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Smith and Mrs. Ruth Ferguson, both of Jackson; a brother Bertie Fesmire of Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be L. O. Nance, Fred Newman, Horace Armstrong, Joe Siler, Warren Rogers, and James Hurt. |
