Obituary of Walter Fesmire

     Services for Walter H. Fesmire, 76, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. R. A. Boston and the Rev. Paul Williams officiating.  Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

     Mr. Fesmire died Thursday morning at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.  He was a retired plant supervisor for South Central Bell in Humboldt, past president of Telephone Pioneers, a Mason and a member of the First Baptist Church of Humboldt.

     Mr. Fesmire was born in Lexington and educated in Lexington and Jackson schools.  He was employed by the I. C. Railroad and Southern Engine Boiler Works before his association with the telephone company in 1925.

    He leaves his widow, Mrs. Myrtle Harris Fesmire of Humboldt; a son, Gerald Fesmire, four brothers, F. M. Fesmire of Paducah, KY, E. W. Fesmire and T. A. Fesmire, both of Jackson, and B. M. Fesmire of Jacksonville, Florida; two sisters, Mrs. C. L. Smith of Memphis and Mrs. B. M. Ferguson of Jackson; and three grandchildren.  Active pallbearers are Jack Moore, Dennis Clifford, Jack Ramsey, Charles Peyton, John O. Parnell, Roy Mitchell, Leonard Vandike, and George Moss.  Honorary pallbearers are W. C. Lewis, J. C. Knight, L. F. Weeks, J. K. Baker, Floyd Chrisman, W. J. Faulkner, C. A. Ward, and W. H. Roberts.
