Appointment of Dr. Houghton Holliday as acting associate dean of the School of Dental and Oral Surgery of Columbia University, was announced yesterday by Dr. Nicholas Murray Butler, president of the university. Dr. Holliday succeeds Dr. Arthur T. Rowe, who with Dr. Paul Wiberg, was slain Dec. 12 by Victor Koussow, a deranged laboratory worker.
Dr. Holliday was associated with the Mayo Brothers Clinic during 1918 and 1919 and served as superintendent of the University of Minnesota College of Dentistry from 1919 until 1922. He went to Columbia in 1928.
He is a member of the First District Dental Society, the New York State and American Dental Associations and the New York Academy of Dentistry, and is vice president of the Omicron Kappa Epsilon professional fraternity.³

He was associate dean of the School of Dental and Oral Surgery of Columbia University from 1936 to 1945. He was on the dental faculty from 1928 to 1954.^1,2
