Goochland Co., VA, USA, The Family Research Center of the Church of Latterday Saints i correctly shows a 1781 birth year for Thomas. This most likely comes from a misreading of the Hooton-Barden Bible where the 7 looks like a 1.
Dwight Ward Hooten's genealogy notes shows an incorrect 1788 birth year. The 1850 census records which show Thomas as being 63 at the time of the 1850 census, which would make his birth year 1787. This is confirmed by his gravestone in the Olive Chapel Cemetery in New Carlisle, IN which indicates he was 64 years, 10 mo at the time of his death on Mar. 29,1852.^1,2
