Obituary"Mrs. Harriet Houghton, well known in the town of Maryland, where for many years she resided, died Friday of last week at 1:30 p.m., at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Leonard Cross in the town of Middlefield. She was eighty years of age and for the past 4 months had been ill of heart disease, with complications. Mrs. Houghton, who was a life long member of the Schenevus Baptist church, is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Cross, above named; by two sons, Otis Houghton of Middlefield and Arlie, and by three grandchildren, Mrs. Myron Myers of Turnwood, Mrs. Glenn Becker of Maryland, and Miss Elizabeth Cross of Middlefield, also by several nephews and nieces ... burial was made in the family plot in the Schenevus cemetery."
