Rutland, VT, USA, GUY HOUGHTON RITES SPRINGFIELD, Mass, Dec. 25-The funeral of Guy H. Houghton, 59, native of West Doyer, Vt, was held here tonight at the McKinson Streeter Funeral Home. Mr. Houghton, who died Monday in the Springfield Hospital, was the son of George H. and Nellie B (Cook) Houghton, Survivors include his wife, the former Jennie M. Locke; five sons, George H. and Leonard H, both of Springfield, Wesley M. of Florid. Paul E. of Montpelier, Vt, and Carroll, with the Army in Germany; his daughter, Mrs. Helen Burlock of Vergennes, Vt; four brothers, Edward T. and Harold M, both of Springfield and Byron E. and Leslie M, Harris.

George B. Houghton WOLCOTT - George B. Houghton, 89, a resident here for nearly 70 years, died Thursday at the Morrisville Convalescent Center after a long illness. He was born in Charleston, June 21, 1884, son of Arthur and Alice (Brown) Houghton. . He married Eliza Hodgdon in Wolcott on March 14, 1908, For more than 40 years, he worked for the St. J. & L. C. Railroad, was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Maintenance and Ways and of the Wolcott Methodist Church, Besides his widow, he leaves three sons, Ralph, Passumpsic; Arden, Morrisville and Earl, Indian Orchard, Mass; four daughters, Mrs. Louva Hale and Mrs. Marion Ennis, St. John-sbury; Mrs. Mildred Martin and Mrs. Irma Christophero, Bristol, Conn; 26 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jesse Houghton, St. Johnsbury; two half-sisters, Mrs, Gladys Ellis, St. Johnsbury and Mrs. Marion Morency, New York and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p. m. in the Holcomg Funeral Home, Hardwick. The Rev. Albert Strobel will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery, Wolcott. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m.

Funeral services for James Arlon Houghton, 83, native of Athens, who died Friday, was to be held this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock at bis Saxtons River home. Rev. J. L. Peacock was to officiate. Burial was to take place In Oak HU1 cemetery here. Mr. Houghton died at his home Friday evening after a three-month Illness. Although an Athens native, he spent his entire lifetime in Saxtons River. His first wife, who died in 1926. was Julia A. Chapman. His second marriage was to Nellie Richardson. He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. j Arthur Mundell of Saxtons River, and two granddaughters, Mrs. John Lawrence of Saxtons River and Mrs. Her-ert Hamilton of Claremont. N. H. He also leaves four great-grandchildren. Mr. Houghton was a member of the Bellows Falls Lodge of Odd Fellows.
