Rosary was recited Friday at the Nolan Funeral Home for Alfred Houghton, a former Black Forest resident, who died Thursday in a local nursing home.
Mass was celebrated Saturday at Our Lady of the Pines Church in Black Forest, with the Rev. Father David Costello officiating. Burial was in the Eastonville Cemetery.
Mr. Houghton was born Sept. 9. 1910 in Manchester, N.H. He had been employed as a clerk at the Broadmoor Hotel.
He was affiliated with Our Lady of the Pines Church in Black Forest. Survivng are. a daughter. Mrs. Brooke Lacey, and four grandchildren, all of Black Forest; two sisters. Mrs. Monica Cirkot, of Gavlordsville. Conn, and Mrs. Bernice Tabler, ot Natick. Mass.
