Services for Betty Ann Houghton, 81, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Hamilton and Bell Funeral Chapel, 820 E. Maple Road, Birmingham, Mich.

Born Dec. 29, 1918, in Buffalo, N.Y., she died Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2000, at Lee Manor Nursing Home in Des Plaines. Burial will be Tuesday, in Roseland Park Cemetery, Berkley, Mich.

She was the daughter of the late William and Ella Houghton; sister of Beverly J. (late Dr. Charles) Thurwachter of Lathrup Village, Mich. and the late Helen May Somerville; and aunt of William, Tom, Kelly and Martha.

Visitation will be Monday, at Hamilton and Bell Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the American Heart Association, would be appreciated.

Local arrangements were made by Oehler Funeral Home, Des Plaines.
