Jean Houghton Clark

Jean was born January 30, 1940 in Wilmington, Delaware to Marguerite and Francis Houghton. She graduated from Ursuline Academy and studied at Boston College. She was employed by the Wilmington Morning News and later earned her bachelor's degree at The University of New Orleans. On February 15, 1962 she married Lucius V Clark. They celebrated their 50th year of marriage last February.

Jean was a mother and homemaker in Superior and Tucson, AZ; Suffern, NY; New Orleans, LA; St. Louis, MO; San Antonio and Houston, TX; and Bremerton, WA. Preceding her in death were her son Donald Read Clark, and her parents. Jean is survived by her husband Lucius; children: Andrew Clark, Jennifer Fellrath (James) and Margaret Cortez (Sal); siblings Philip Houghton and Deborah Houghton; and her grandchildren: Kevin Clark, Zane Davis, Duncan Fellrath, Moira Fellrath, Kaloeb Cortez and Stella Cortez. At Jean's request, formal services will not be held.
