Born in Bayonne and raised in Westfield, Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, John and Vilma (Smolenski) Federowsky and a stepson Ronald W. Houghton. Kathleen is survived by her loving husband Ronald C. Houghton; daughters, Suzanne DiBella and her husband Dominick and Heather Fay and her husband John Trimarchi ; stepsons, Jeffrey Houghton and his wife Jo Anna and Eric Houghton and his wife Amanda; sister Nancy Grosso; nieces, Stephanie Hamel and her husband Jaime and Andrea Grosso and 13 grandchildren. Kathleen started her working career as a Lab Technician, then later went on to work as a Medical Transcriber for an Orthopedic practice for over 25 years. Kathleen will be remembered as a strong, kind and supportive mother, grandmother and friend; her kindness to all who knew her and her strong Catholic beliefs. She was a communicant of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Westfield and a member of their Cornerstone Group. Published in The Star-Ledger from May 22 to May 23, 2021.

ObituaryJudith Mary Houghton Teru Saito Judy Houghton, age 42, was carried by angels to heaven August 26, 2003, after a courageous and determined 4-year fight with breast cancer. Judy was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and attended the University of Delaware for continuing education. She started her career as a teacher at Beechwood School. She then worked at the Winterthur Bookstore, as well as the nursery at Concordia Lutheran Church, until retiring due to her disability from cancer. Judy was a multi-talented individual. Friends plus family know her as a lover of all life, gardening, art, opera, crafts and photography. Her ultimate love was family friends, and most especially the children who touched her life, which would include her 17 nieces and nephews, many of whom had the privilege of being welcomed into the world by her at birth. She touched all who knew her by her faith, strength, wonderful sense of humor, warm and giving spirit, and unselfish gift of herself to others. All who knew her were honored to call her a friend and she will be deeply missed. Judy is survived by her mother, Theresa J. (Gambino) Houghton of Cresaptown, MD; her father, Charles P. Houghton and his wife, Diane, of Middletown, DE; 10 brothers and sisters, Patrick Houghton of Richmond, VA, Nanette Houghton of Arlington, MA, Christina Cantagallo of Hillsborough, NC, Katherine Houghton of Wilmington, Paul Houghton of Raleigh, NC, Jim Gambino of Groton, CT, Sondra D'Anjolell of Oak Island, NC, Aimee Houghton of Avon, CT, Lorenna Houghton of Durham, NC and Lauren Houghton of Middletown, DE. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Judy's Life Celebration from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at BEESON MEMORIAL SERVICES of North Wilmington, 412 Philadelphia Pike (764-2900). Interment will be held in Philadelphia Memorial Park in Frazer, PA.
