William Howey of Mansfield Twp to John Kitchen of Alexandria, Huntingdon Co. Sherriff in indenture dated 25 November 1786 had sold to William Howey land in the township of Mansfield beginning at the corner of David Davis' lot, 176 1/4 acres. William and wife, Mary convey to John Kitchen for 264 pounds, seven shillings and six pence on 13 December 1790.6

The witnesses were Joseph Davis and Samuel Pine. (Salem Deeds B:459). and on the same day, David Davis, and Rachel, his wife of Waterford Twp, sold 11 other acres to Joshua Howey, which David had bought March 9, 1774. The same men witnessed the deed. ( Salem Deeds B:375). A further note here says see GCHS Bulletin 3:30; GCBP 22).1
 
(Witness) Property4 April 1808Isaac Howey was administrator of the estate of Isaac Howey and, as such, administered the completion of the sale of property; Davis was the administrator of the estate of Isaac Howey. There was a contract between Isaac Howey and John Howey to sell the property at the time of Isaac's death. John sought relief from the New Jersey state legislature to authorize Davis to fulfill the contract. An Act of the Legislature dated 12 Nov 1807 authorized the sale. The property was 63 acres 2 roods 16 perches on the road from Swedesboro to Oldman's Creek situate in Woolwich, Gloucester Co. Sale was completed on 4 Apr 1808 for one dollar. A further sum of $250 was paid. Part of the land was that sold by Issac Richman, wife Rachel and William Mulford on 13 Sep. 1806. Sale recorded 11 April 1808. Deed also mentions children and heirs at law of Issac Howey deceased. They are Mary Howey, Benjamin Howey, Rebecca Howey, Isaac Howey, Ann Howey, Hope Howey and Martha Howey.7
