She loved her flower garden and raising chickens and also enjoyed reading. A devoted mother and grandmother, she truly enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Beal was a longtime member of the Greenwich Presbyterian Church.

Cruzan (Dale) of Stow Creek Twp., 12 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Emma Hymer and a number of nieces and nephews and was predeceased by brothers, Hartley, Joseph and Edward Hymer.

"In researching John I realized that John apparently had a first wife who had Henry, born about 1790 and David R., born about 1792 based on subsequent census. I estimated that John probably married this first wife about 1789 when he would have been about 19. We know he married his second wife, Sarah Golden 11 July 1798 and had John, Daniel R., Mathias and Rebecca. "
