Joseph's present wife, Lydia McConnell (now Lydia Howey) to have no dowry in his share. Wife, Elizabeth, household goods. Grandson Abraham Howey 5 pounds. Executors- wife Elizabeth and John Axford. Witnesses - Stephen Jervis, John Howey, Tomezin Jervis, Daniel Jervis. Proved Aug. 31, 1778. 31 Aug. 1778 Adm'r Joseph Howey. Fellow bondsmen William Loder; both of Oxford, said. Co. The wife died before the proving of the will and the other Executor renounced. Inventory by William Loder and John Kinney 29 Aug. 1778 - value in pounds 584.9.6.
