    Mrs. Sarah Dains Sachleben, 73, of 246 Powhatan Parkway, Hampton, died at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday in Newport Nursing Home, Newport News, after a long illness.
    She was a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and had lived in Hampton 35 years. She was the widow of Richard Nelson Sachleben, who died last Nov. 11. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Newport News.
    Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Katheryn [sic] Acree of Gloucester Point; a son, Carhles[sic] B. Dains of Pittman, N.J.; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
    Graveside services will be conducted at 2p.m. Saturday in Peninsula Memorial Park with the Rev. Donald L. Crytzer, pastor of Hampton Christian Church, officiating.
    The family will be at the home of Mrs. Joel N. Goodwin, 102 Waltham St., Hampton.

Note*Searching for ancestors and descendants of Robert McDaniel, born Aug. 24, 1756 near present day Bangor Maine. His family may have resided in Hancock Co. at some point in time. Robert apprenticed out to Joseph Longstreth of Philadelphia, Pa. and moved to that city with Longstreth probably in the 1770's. Any McDaniels you may have may fit his origins, please contact.
I am searching for information on a Robert McDaniel, b. Aug. 24, 1756 in a place described as a "small lumbering village near the Penobscot Falls. Through research it is suggested that this is around the Falls at Bangor, now flooded by the dam there. Also interested in information on a Charles Haney, presumed from Penobscot County, Maine. There was an Elizabeth Lowell, nee Haney, daughter of Archibald, who lived in N. Penobscot (next county south of Penobscot County), sometime after 1766. Both these men left Maine prior to the revolution as apprentices to a Joseph Longstreth of Philadelphia.
