Richard Nelson Sachleben, 74, of 246 Powhatan Pkwy., Hampton, died unexpectedly, Thursday at home.
He was born in New Jersey and had lived in Hampton 35 years. He was a retired draftsman of Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sadie B. Sachleben; a brother, Nicholas Sachleben of Sicklerville, N. J.; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Kathryn Acree of Gloucester Point; a stepson, Charles B. Dains of Woodbury, N. J.; two sons and three daughters.
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Peninsula Memorial Park with the Rev. Donald L. Crytzer, pastor of Hampton Christian Church, officiating.
