    PETER TORBERT
One of Bridgeport's aged and respected citizens, passed away on Sunday morning last at the home of his daughter, Mrs. S. Lewis Kille where he has been an invalid for just one year. Mr. Torbert has been a resident of Bridgeport for many years and a representative citizen. He was an active member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and, with his wife, was faithful in attendance upon all services as long as health and age would permit. Quiet and reserved in manner but always ready to help in every good cause, he was a loyal citizen indeed. He was 87 years of age.
Mr. and Mrs. Torbert have been greatly missed from their home on our street the past year. Funeral services were held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Kille on Wednesday morning last, and were largely attended. Deceased leaves a wife and two daughters Mrs. S. L. Kille and Mrs. S. Horace Richards, to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. Bridgeport Correspondent.
