"Let's start here. Here is the 1860 Census record for Franklin Twp., Gloucester Co, that shows Franklin Souder, bc1857, as the son of Elias Souder. Elias was married to his second wife the year before the count, 1859 Apr 20, and there are 3 step-children here. If you can't read any of it, I will translate. They were married in Malaga.

Tom Everingham on the census list is married to a Veal, aunt of Thomas Clinton Souder's wife, Caroline Veal. TC is the son of Lawrence.

My Lawrence Souder is on the next Census page.

The list of children you have for Elias's siblings has very little resemblance to what "we" have collected. Indeed, I have no idea where the names come from because many aren't in the area anywhere.

June Boyer had access to family Bibles, and from them transcribed the following children for Charles and Elizabeth Woolford Souder/Sowder:

    John b 1805 Mar 30 m. Mary 1824 Jan 24

"In researching John I realized that John apparently had a first wife who had Henry, born about 1790 and David R., born about 1792 based on subsequent census. I estimated that John probably married this first wife about 1789 when he would have been about 19. We know he married his second wife, Sarah Golden 11 July 1798 and had John, Daniel R., Mathias and Rebecca. "
