Sewing machine operator
Leona Cheesman, 75, of Laurel Lake died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007 at the South Jersey Healthcare Regional Medical Center in Vineland.
Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Pearl Bateman Weldon and the wife of the late Lawrence Cheesman. Mrs. Cheesman was formerly of Millville and resided at Laurel Lake the past 18 years. She was retired from Santa’s Best, where she was a sewing machine operator. She enjoyed playing bingo and making crafts.
Surviving are her children, Elizabeth and Jim D’Ambrosio of Millville, Holly and Joe Logullo of Chestertown, Md., Barbara and Rick Swoboda of Shillington, Pa., and Romaine and Donna Howey Jr., of West Palm Beach, Fla.; sister, Myrtle Gordiner of Fortescue; grandchildren, Tina Delmonte, Jason and Jimmy D’Ambrosio, Marsha Martinez; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Kim, Rick, Jake, Shane, Kayla, Giovanni, Nina, Robert, Samantha, Howard, Kyle and James. She was predeceased by her sisters, Edna, Rhoda, Julia, Margaret; and brothers, Wilbert and Luther.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Greenwood Memorial Park, 10th and Broad streets in Millville.
Memorial donations may be made to the Laurel Lake Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 346, Millville, NJ 08332.
Arrangements are being handled by Hoffman Funeral Homes Port Norris and Leesburg.
