Catherine M. Howey, Employed by the Gloucester City Public School District
HOWEY, CATHERINE M. On November 11, 2007, (nee Moss), of Gloucester City, NJ, age 58.
She is the beloved wife of John T. Howey, Sr. and loving mother of John T. Jr., Scott M. (Camille) and Jeffrey R. Howey. She is the dear sister of Clark Moss, Clara Oorlog, Joyce Hoover, David Moss and the late James W. Moss, Jr. Mrs. Howey was predeceased by her dear parents James W. Sr. and Malmyra B. Moss. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Catherine was formerly the Cafeteria Manager at Gloucester City High School and currently managed the Cold Springs Preschool Cafeteria. She was a Past President of the Gloucester City Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliaries where she was involved with the Softball Marathon for the Burn Foundation and Firemen's Blood Bank. Catherine had also been involved with the Gloucester City Little League, Mustangs, PTA, GHS Lions Booster Club, Girl Scouts and had been a member of the Cape May Emerald Society and the Moose Lodge.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and again Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 Powell St.in Gloucester City.
Catherine's funeral service will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Gloucester City. In lieu of flowers her family has requested memorial donations be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Fwy., Ste. 250, Dallas, TX 75244 or the Burn Foundation, 1201 Chestnut St., Ste. 801, Phila., PA 19107.
