DEATHS: S. E. Malone of near Denver, last Sunday in Eureka Springs; burial Monday in Denver Cemetery. Martin Phillips of Golden, MO, July 3, in Eureka Springs; stabbed to death at a dance on the assembly grounds; held in the death were Gil Betten, Ora Nichols, Vigil Wagoner and Fred Christie.

DEATHS: Mrs. E. J. Coxsey, 74 at home near Osage, Thursday. The Fink family of Marion co, 14 miles west of Calico Rock, from poisoning after eating what they supposed to be edible mushrooms Monday of last week. John E., 18, adopted son, died Wednesday; Segel, 11, Vell 9, Rosie Lee 7, Melan 6, and
Mrs. Mary Lee Fink, 30, died Thursday; W. J. fink, 40, Zeakle, 13, and baby, 3 months old, died Friday. Burial last week. (From Republican Banner of Yellville)

DEATHS: H. F. Harriman, 75, Tuesday in Green Forest; he recently came from Eureka Springs but formerly lived near Oak Grove.
Nelson L. Lawson, last Monday night, from injuries suffered Monday of last week at the home of his father-in=law, S. E. McMorris, southeast of town. He was kicked in the abdomen by a horse that got loose while a threshing machine was in operation. Burial Tuesday in Zion Hill Cemetery.

DEATHS: Mrs. Polly O'Neal, widow of Spencer O'Neal of Yocum Township, last Sunday night, at home of James Caps on Dry Creek; burial Tuesday O'Neal Cemetery on Yocum.

DEATHS: Arthur Carpenter, son of Hyle Carpenter of near Denver, Aug. 4, White Oak, Indian Territory, of measles while visiting his sister and other relatives; burial Wednesday of last week in Denver Cemetery.
Fred Snyder, Sunday afternoon in Springfield, MO, from injuries suffered in a cave-in in a tunnel on the railroad extension toward Harrison near Eureka Springs in early June; he was laid up about six weeks and had returned to Springfield two weeks ago.

DEATHS: Mark Sanders, “an old citizen,” near Carrollton, last week.

DEATHS: Young man named Masters, son of G. W. Masters of Winona Township, Sunday night in Berryville jail. He had been injured in a jump from the top of the jail cage Sunday. Some in Berryville feared he might have had smallpox, but there was no evidence that he did. He was in jail on a charge of Misrepresenting his age to a saloon keeper in Eureka Springs.

DEATHS: Husband of Mrs. Julia Norman (formerly Phillips), in the Galveston storm. He resided at nearby Beasley, Texas, and was planning to leave soon to join his family in Eureka Springs.
Mrs. C. B. Thompson, at home south of town, Tuesday, of consumption; burial Tuesday Pickens Cemetery.

DEATHS: Wife of Sheriff George Walker, at home in Berryville last Sunday, of consumption.

DEATHS: Rev. Preston B. Hopkins, former presiding elder of the Eureka Springs district of the Methodist Church. Birce M. Meador, Nov. 29; burial Friday at New Home Cemetery; moved to Green Forest area from Kentucky soon after the Civil War; moved to Eureka Springs about two years ago.
Elmer Walker, about 18, son of Andy Walker, northeast of town, Sunday.

Saturday, Dec. 15, 1900
DEATHS: Lowery Lott, Wednesday night, of consumption, he and his mother, Mrs. Francis Lott, and a brother were passing through en route from Indian Territory to Illinois, burial Thursday in Norris Cemetery, after which the mother and brother resumed their trip.
Mrs. W. F. McCormick, wife of Rev. Wash McCormick and sister of J. F. Hopper of Harrison, at her home near Kirbyville, MO, last week.
