ELKHART--Memorial services for Barbara S. Griffith 77, of Punta Gorda, Fla., formerly of Elkhart, who died at 10 a.m. on Jan. 31 in Punta Gorda Life Care Center, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.
Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzeheimer's Disease Association.
Mrs. Griffith was born Aug. 26, 1908, in Snyder County, Pa. On May 10, 1927, in Sunbury, Pa., she married Verne L. Griffith Sr. He survives with a daughter, Marlene Wenger of Elkhart; two sons, Verne L. Jr. and Donald W., both of Elkhart; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers Arthur Bailey of Utica, Mich. and Earl Bailey of Port Charlotte, Fla. Mrs. Griffith was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church.
