After an illiness of two weeks Chauncey F. Darling, 68, of 247 Osmun St. died in General Hospital at 1pm Thursday.
Born Feb. 4, 1879 in Oakland County, son of William and Sylvia Hatch Darling, he had spent his entire life in the county, and 31 years in Pontiac. He married Bessie M. LaFountain in Clarkston, April 28, 1904. He was employed as inspector in the salvage department at Wilson Foundry and Machine Co. for 31 years.
Besides his widow, he is survived by two sons, Floyd and Charles Darling of Pontiac; two daughters Mrs. Eunice Corey of Byron, Mrs. Lillian Brunson of Pontiac, a sister Mrs. Anna Stewart of Goodrich, and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be Saturday at 2pm from Voorhees-donelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Clarkston.
