Mr.
Vance was born in Concord, N. Y., Jan. 6, 1850; resided with his parents in
Concord until of age; he then engaged in farming in Colden, where he remained
until 1872, when he removed to North Collins, and became a cheese-maker,
which occupation he has since followed. He was married in 1871, to Louisa
Sweetapple. |

have two daughters: |
Ada
L., born March 21, 1875, and Grace L., born Dec. 29, 1877. |
Mr.
Vance is a brother of Samuel Vance of Concord. |
