I am attempting to piece together the following family:
James Tufts, born 1777 Saintfield, Co. Down, NI, died 1854 in New
Brunswick, Canada. Married about 1803 to Elizabeth Kearns, parents
unknown, born abt 1788, Saintfield, Co. Down, NI, also died in New
Burnswick, 1867. Their children, also all born in Saintfield: Sarah,
1804, Hugh Kearns, Mary Wilson, Anna Kearns.

I am looking for information on my family in County Down. My grandfather Robert Hewitt was born in Saintfield in 1846. The names Samuel, Hugh, John and William show up but I don't have any real connection. I would like to pursue any possible connections. Robert married Agnes Mc Kee in Saintfield, April 1879. They later went to Canada. Inserted 9 July 2001.
