Brown Family Lemonade Crock

One of the traditions of the Brown family is the Brown Family Lemonade.  This cool, delicious nectar has been enjoyed for generations at Brown Family Reunions.  But, the real secret to the Brown Family Lemonade, comes from the old stoneware crock that keeps it cold all day in the August heat.  The thick, worn sides of the crock not only insulate the famous lemonade, it adds many years tradition and charm.  I have tried several times to replicate the famous recipe at home, but without the crock - it's just not the same...

No one seems to remember the first reunion that the crock was used, and there is a family rumor that it was broken and replaced once, but as you can see from the following pictures, it has been with us for awhile!  I can't wait til August!
