Hello and welcome to my part of
cyber space. My name is Jamie and I live in a small rural town in Missouri
with my husband Andy and son Matt. Andy and I met for the first time when
we were 8 years old. We were friends while growing up, who would have ever
dreamed we would get married, have a son and still be together after almost
20 years.
I grew up on a farm, went to college,
have a degree in Ag Business Management, but currently work in an automotive
factory. Funny how the world goes around and how you end up where you do,
but until I win the lottery I guess I am stuck in the Blue Collar world.
Most of my time away from work is
spent going to Matt's sporting events, Boy Scout activities, or church
functions. When I find some free time at home I like to do crafts including
cross stitch, crochet and plastic canvas. Lately those hobbies have been
pushed aside as I have been working on my family tree. Most of my free
time this past year or so has been spent walking the cemeteries, doing
research at the library and talking with older family members about the
past and where we came from. While this has been a fun project that my
mother and I have done together, it can also seem like an endless project,
but the family members I have came to know, past & present, as well
as some other new friends I have made along the way have made the whole
project very worthwhile.
Some of my other hobbies include
collecting salt & pepper shakers, of which I have around 120 sets,
I also collect Ty beanie babies and I currently have over 200 of them and
find cute ones all the time that I think I need.
For family fun we are active in
our church, Boy Scouts and we all like to watch as well as attend any sporting
event we can. Nascar racing is the family favorite. We have been to races
in Missouri, Kansas, Texas & North Carolina. Alabama is next on our
list.
In the evenings I like to surf the
net, read e-mail from family & friends and chat with some other friends
about life, family and how our world is going. It is nice to share this
time with them.
Thanks for visiting my page, don't
forget to sign our quest book and feel free to drop us a line anytime.
