Will of John MOTTHERSHEAD
In the Name of God, Amen. I John Mothershead being sick and weak but of perfect sences and memory praised by Almighty God for it, do make this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following hearby revoaking all other Wills and Testamts. heretofore made by me.
Imprimis. I committ my Sole into the hands of Almighty God and my Body to the Earth to be vuried by my Executors hereafter named.
Item. I give unto my Dafter, Mary Mothershead, twenty five pounds to be paid to hur when she comes of age.
Item. I leave to my loveing Wife, the Plantation whareon I now live during hur life and the remainer of my Estate. Further my desier is that Brother, Charles Mothershead, have the liberty of living there and the working of his slave till he arives to the age of Twenty one. Lastle, I nominate & apoint my loving Wife & my loving Brother, John Quissenbury, Executors of this my Last Will & Testamt. As Witness my hand & seal this 29th day of Novemr: 1748.

At a Court held for the said County the 27th day of March 1750 This Last Will and Testamt. of John Mothershead, deced., being presented into Court by Sarah, his Relict and Executrix therein named, who made Oath thereto as the Law directs, & being also duely proved by the Oaths of the witnesses thereto, is admitted to Record; And upon mocon of the said Executrix & her performing what is usual in such cases, Certificate is granted her for obtaining a Probate thereof in due form
