Oakley Patton, 78, of Sidney, died Wednesday, March 5, at East
Kentucky Veterans Hospital, Hazard.
  
Born Dec. 22, 1929, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late
Goodel and Gertrude White Patton. He was a U.S. veteran.
  
Survivors include his wife, Lou Ellen Morris Patton of Sidney; a son,
Tim Patton of Paintsville; four daughters, Tena Herrel, Teresa
Williams and Tonya Sameraro, all of Columbus, Ohio, and Tammy Uhl of
Baltimore, Ohio; and three brothers, Bromley Patton and Donnie
Patton, both of Paintsville, and Frankie Patton of Lexington.
  
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Phelps and Son
Funeral Home, Paintsville, with Larry Blair officiating. Chapter 18
D.A.V. will conduct military rites at the cemetery.
  
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under
direction of Phelps and Son Funeral Home.
  
Visitation will be today, Friday, March 7, from 2 - 9 p.m. at the
funeral home.
