MARGARET ELLEN SMITH

Margaret Ellen Smith, 53, of Lynchbury, Virginia, died Wednesday,
August 22 in a Baltimore, Maryland hospital after an extended
illness.
  
Wife of Meril Smith, she was a member of the Methodist Church and was
born July 31, 1920, the daughter of the late Edwin Hall and Jeanie
Seal Hall.
  
Surviving, in addition to her mother and husband, are a daughter,
Marsha Gray of Lynchburg and one grandchild.  Also surviving are two
brothers, Wilbur F. Hall of Baltimore and Harry G. Hall of Ocean
City, Maryland.
  
Funeral services were held Saturday, August 24, in the Chapel of the
Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Reverends Milt Blankenship and Ezra
Williams officiating.
  
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville
with the Jones-Preston Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
