Mary Elizabeth Arms Smith, 73, of Sitka, died Tuesday, April 1, at
her residence.
  
Born May 17, 1934, in Johnson County, she was a daughter of the late
William and Lucinda Blair Arms. She was a homemaker.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ken Smith; a brother,
Lloyd Arms; and a sister, Martha Alice Long.
  
Survivors include two sons, Mark Anthony Smith of Lincoln, Neb. and
Kenny Smith Jr. of Sitka; two daughters, Pamela Sue Burgess of
Staffordsville and Barbara Ellen Campbell of Sitka; four brothers,
Paul Arms, Henry Arms, and Harry Arms, all of Geneva, N.Y., and James
Arms of Horsehead, N.Y.; a sister, Linda Linthicum of Morgan's Point,
Texas; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Friday, April 4, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home,
Paintsville, with Nick Fairchild officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
