Isadore Tackett, 90, of Staffordsville, died Sunday, Nov. 30, at Veterans
Administration Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
  
Born Aug. 20, 1924, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Samuel and
Mural Snow Tackett. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked in construction.
  
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Rilda Barker Tackett.
   
Survivors include a daughter, Rita Compton of Ypsilanti, Mich.; two
grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
  
Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 6, at Jones-Preston Funeral Chapel, with
Gene Roberts officiating. Military honors were by Auxier Chapter 18 DAV.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
