Thomas Eugene Tackett, 73, of Paintsville, died Thursday, Dec. 11, at
his residence.
  
Born May 29, 1935, in Johnson County, he was the son of the late Jesse
and Maude Litteral Tackett. He was a manager at Paintsville Cleaners and
a member of Ramey Branch Church.
  
Survivors include his wife, Alice Tackett of Paintsville; two daughters,
Teresa Tackett of Lake City, Fla. and Tommigene Tackett of Paintsville;
six sisters, Shirley Dorton, Ora Johnson, and Imogene Gussler, all of
Paintsville, Estelle Reed of Meally, Libby Foley of Prestonsburg, and
Louise McCarty of Hager Hill.
  
Funeral services were Monday, Dec. 15, at Preston Funeral Home Chapel,
with Kenneth Chambers officiating.
  
Burial was at Highland Memorial Cemetery, Staffordsville, under
direction of Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
