Thurman Tackett, 65, of Staffordsville, died Friday, May 2, at Paul
B. Hall Regional Medical Center, Paintsville.
  
Born June 23, 1942, in Johnson County, he was a son of the late Rev.
Henry and Fannie Ward Tackett. He was a retired Johnson County
jailer.
  
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew Tackett and
Henry Tackett.
  
Survivors include his wife, Jerri Blevins Tackett; two sons, Thurman
Dewayne Tackett of Prestonsburg and Anthony Scott Tackett of
Staffordsville; a brother, William Anderson Tackett of California;
and two grandsons.
  
Funeral services were Monday, May 5, at Jones-Preston Funeral Home,
Paintsville, with Todd Scarberry and James Buddy McKenzie
officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction
of Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
