Edward M. Thomasson, 87, of Thelma, died Monday, May 5, at Cabell
Huntington Hospital, Huntington, W.Va.
   
Born Nov. 18, 1926, at Minnehaha, W.Va., he was the son of the late Mack
and Amy King Thomasson. He was a U.S. Army veteran and worked at Island
Creek Coal Company.
  
Survivors include his wife, Lucille Sergent Thomasson ; a son, Thomas J.
Thomasson of Aurora, Colo.; two brothers, Larry Thomasson of Auburn, Ala.,
and Paul Thomasson of Huntington, W.Va.; three sisters, Amy Thompson of
Jacksonville, Fla., Audrey Shadburn of Hurricane, W.Va., and Helen Perego
of South Point, Ohio; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Monday, May 12, at First United Methodist Church,
with Ken Spurrier officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordsville, under direction of
Jones-Preston Funeral Home, Paintsville.
