Jack D. VanHoose, 90, of Paintsville, died Saturday, March
1, at Paul B. Hall Medical Center, Paintsville.
  
Born Nov. 29, 1923, at Paintsville, he was the son of the late Albert J.
and Vera Blair VanHoose. He was a U.S. World War II Army veteran.
  
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie Kendrick VanHoose.
  
Survivors include a son, David VanHoose of Paintsville; a daughter, Janie
Lemaster of Paintsville; a sister, Phyllis VanHoose of Lexington; three
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 5, at Third Street Freewill Baptist
Church, with Larry Blair officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park,
Staffordsville, under direction of Paintsville Funeral Home, Paintsville.
