LORA MAE VANHOOSE

Lora Mae Vanhoose, 39, formerly of Paintsville, died Thursday January
19, as a result of an accident in Louisville. The vehicle she was
driving was struck by a train at a rail crossing in Jefferson County.
She was the wife of Dr. James E. Vanhoose, formerly of Paintsville, and
the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar P. Williams, also of Paintsville.
Surviving are her husband and six children: Gregory 13, Brian 9, Jim
Doug 7, twins Kent and Kyra 6, and Steven 3. Three brothers; John Patton
Williams of Versailles, Oscar Williams Jr. of Flat Gap and Bob Williams
of Paintsville, also survive, as do two sisters, Lillian Meade of
Paintsville and Anna Mary Adams of Owensboro.
Mrs. Vanhoose had resided in Louisville for eighteen months prior to her
death.
Funeral services were held Sunday, January 22, at the First Methodist
Church in Paintsville with Rev. J. H. Burton presiding.
Burial followed at Highland Memorial Park, in Staffordsville, under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
