HENRY VANOVER
1892-1971

Services were held April 18 in the Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for
Henry Vanover, 78, of Thealka. He died April 16 in a local hospital.

The retired mechanic and former Free Will Baptist was born in Letcher
County to the late McClellan and Nancy Hall Vanover. He was a member of
the Salyersville Masonic Lodge.

The Rev. Scott Castle and C. C. Hall officiated at the funeral, and the
Paintsville Funeral Home took charge of burial arrangements in the
Highland memorial Park at Staffordsville.

Pallbearers were John Burton, Joe D. Castle, Everett S. Bradley, William
F. Castle, Michael D. Lyons and Johnny M. Bunyard. Survivors include his
wife, Dora Tacket Vanover; four daughters, Mrs. Joe Castle of Pikeville,
Mrs. Everett Bradley of Van Lear, Mrs. Martin Lyons of Paintsville, and
Mrs. Bert Grimm in West Van Lear; two sisters, Mrs. Jose Tacket of
Portsmouth, Ohio, and Mrs. Cora Reed of Fairborn, Ohio; 11 grandchildren
and 28 great grandchildren.
