ERVIN WALLEN
1908-1982

Williamsport resident Ervin Wallen, 73, died October 17 in
Birmingham, Ala.

Mr. Wallen was born October 19, 1908 in Johnson County, a son of
William and Gypsie Murray Wallen. He was employed as a salesman And
was a member of the United Baptist Church.

His wife, Thelma Gladys Wallen, preceded him in death March 9, 1980.

Surviving are three sons, Ed Wallen, Birmingham, Ala., Doug Wallen,
Columbus, Ohio and David Wallen Williamsport; two daughters, Myraleen
Walters, Tallahassee Fla. And Karen Holiday, Cape Coral, Fla.; ten
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving are three brothers, Floyd Wallen, Tutor Key, Virgil
Wallen, Williamsport, And Ballard Wallen, Cannonsburg; eight sisters,
Olga Clay, Betty Stapleton, Merie Wallen, Garnet Wiley, Mae Price and
Dorothy Daniels, River, Faye Craft, Portsmouth, Ohio, and Edith
Vanhoose, Wilmington, Ohio.

Funeral services were held October 20 in Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel with Elder Sammy Murray and Ed Wallen officiating.

Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Staffordville.
