EUNICE WARD

Jones-Preston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for Eunice
Penix Ward, 77, who died Wednesday, January 12 at her Paintsville
residence.
  
Mrs. Ward was born November 13, 1946, in Johnson County, the daughter of
the late Paris and Virgie Music Penix.
  
She had worked for the Paintsville Sewing Factory and was a member of
the Freewill Baptist Church.
  
She was preceded in death by one brother, Orville Penix; one sister,
Pauline Penix and one grandson, Brent Preston.
  
Surviving are her husband, Shade Ward; one son, Jeff Ward of
Paintsville; one daughter, Beulah Castle of Knoxville, TN; two brothers,
Paris Penis, JR of Cleveland, OH and Estill Penix of Panama City, FL;
four sisters, Lillian Copley of Paintsville, Bessie Davidson of Hindman,
Vendea Raines of Adrian, MI and Audrey Thompson of Jacksonville, FL and
three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Saturday, January 15 at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel with James Kelly Caudill officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
