JOHNNIE WARD
1915-1965
Johnnie Ward, 40, died June 9, 1965, at 1:55 a.m. at the home of a
brother, Irvin Ward, Wheelwright, Ky., following an illness of
four months.
Born August 9, 1915, he was a son of Simon and Mary Bowens Ward.
He had been a resident of Wheelwright several months and was
affiliated with the Enterprise Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Fannie Jean Ward.
Other survivorts are three sisters, Edith Walters, Jewel Ridge,
Va., Virgie Hensley, Welston, Ohio, Margie Sparks, Warton, W. Va,
one brother Irvin Ward, Wheelwright.
Funeral services were conducted June 12, 1965 at 11:00 a.m., in
the Third Street Freewill Baptist Church, with the Revs. Scott
Castle, and Walter Skaggs officiating. The Chestnut Gorve Quartet
furnished the music.
Burial was in the Highland Memorial Cemetery.
