ETHEL WELLS

Meally resident, Ethel Davis Music Wells, 87, died Monday, May 7, in
J.J. Jordan Geriatric Center.
  
Mrs. Wells was born February 28, 1903 in Johnson County, the daughter
of Kanawha and Cora Preston Jennings. She was a member of Buffalo
United Baptist Church.
  
She was preceded in death by three husbands, John Davis, in 1947,
John Music, in 1970, and Walt Wells, in 1983.
  
Surviving are three sons, Russell Davis, of Bowie, Texas, Sterling
Davis, of Alexandria, Ohio, and Howard Vencil Davis, of Canton,
Mississippi; three daughters, Cora Davis Fairchild and Jean Carol
McLaughlin, both of Meally, and Arbutus Music, of Sharon, Tennessee;
and 20 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Friday, May 11, in Buffalo United Baptist
Church, with Lawrence Arrowood and Shady L. Walter officiating.
  
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
