Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, 1 p.m. at the Phelps
& Son Funeral Home in Paintsville, Ky., for Irma Wells, 94, of Van
Lear, Ky., who passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Highlands Regional
Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
  
Mrs. Wells was born April 3, 1913 in Johnson County, Ky., daughter of
the late Davis and Rosie Dennison Spriggs. She was a retired nurse at
Paintsville Hospital.
  
She was also preceded in death by her husband, John O. Wells, and her
sister, Verla Williams. Surviving are two nieces, Colleen Williams
and Karen Parsley, both of Van Lear; and three nephews, Jerry
Williams of Van Lear, Ricky Williams of Bonanza, Ky., and Roger
Williams of West Van Lear, Ky.
  
The service will be officiated by Jerry Scott, with burial in the
Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Ky.
  
Arrangements under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home of
Paintsville.
