WOODROW WELLS
1916-1995
West Van Lear resident, Woodrow Wells, 78, died Wednesday, April 19
at Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Wells was born August 15, 1916, in Johnson County, the son of the
late Moses and Cora Honeycutt Wells.
He was a retired candy distributor.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Wells; four sons, Larry Joe Wells, of
Paintsville, Leland Wells of West Van Lear, Linton Wells of Ashland
and Edwin Wells of Versailles; one brother, Henry Wells of South
Point, OH; three sisters, Maggie Collins and Eula Wells, both of Van
Lear, and Mable Adams of Henryville, IN; and nine grandchildren and
five great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 21 at Jones-Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with Dave Flanary and Jerry Scott officiating.
Burial was in Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville.
