Franklin Claude White, age 80, died Thursday, October 27, 8:40
a.m. at a local hospital after an extended illness.

Born May 12, 1886, at Brave, Pennsylvania, he was the son of John
and Fannie White.

Residing in Paintsville for 52 years, White was a member of the
First Christian Church and a retired employee of Kentucky and West
Virginia Gas Company.

His wife, Hannah White survives. They were married on February
23, 1907.

Additional survivors include two sons, John L. of Stanton,
Virginia and Orville B. of Houston, Texas, two daughters, Mrs.
Gertrude Patton of Paintsville and Mrs. Thelma Morehouse of
Parkersburg, West Virginia, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wise of
Waynesburg, Pennsylvania and Mrs. Ella Haught of Brave,
Pennsylvania, eight grandsons and six great grandchildren.

The funeral was conducted Saturday, October 29 at 2 p.m. at the
Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. James Wallace and
Charles Saunders officiating. Singing was provided by James F.
May with Mrs. Tom R. King as organist.

Interment followed in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville
with the Paintsville Funeral Home in charge.
